· A blog is not difficult to construct and the teacher can organise it to have a collaborative learning environment.
· Blogs are useful supplementary tools to engage students in the learning process, as they are meaningful for them.
· A blog is easy to use from any place, as the teacher or students can enter the blog from any computer.
· An advantage a blog has is that the teacher can create, edit or delete the material added to the blog. So, in a way, the teacher can control the blog and offer feedback to students at the same time.
· In a blog, teachers can add pictures, videos and links to other WebPages, so students can quickly navigate the web and look for the things they need.

Great job, Carina! So, this is your first blog post! ;-)
With your contribution we have turned this space from a tutor blog to a class blog, since participants can publish posts as authors. In this case, as a tutor and blog administrator, I can control design features and settings, but I'd never edit your post for example. In a team blog, each member can puiblish a post but, authors do not edit each other's posts as you would do on a wiki page. Instead the, negotaition of meaning and discussions about the post content continue in the comments thread.
On the other hand, Cecilia has chosen to start her own blog for reflections - a learner blog, right? And we've added her space to our blogroll.
Finally, through tagging (WEELL2, welltalk) we are connecting our distributed conversations on the web.
As you can see, we have alreday built a veriety of blog types to support and enhance our learning process.
Thanks for helping our WELL community grow!
If Vygotsky came alive for a few minutes he would be astonished to see how technology helps us build up a social environment to favour learning! It IS indeed true that learning is a social action, and blogging allows the blog owner and its followers to learn in a community of participants with shared interests and objectives. Good for you, Carina, Carla and the rest of WELLers!
